NIGHT AND DAY:
Ó DHUBH GO DUBH

TG4, 2023

"Night & Day – Ó Dhubh go Dubh" - sraith cúig-pháirt a taifeadadh ag an gcéad fhéile Night & Day i 2022. Sa tsraith seo tá ceol ann ó Villagers, Mary Wallopers, Moxie, Orla Gartland agus an iliomad ealaíontóirí Éireannacha agus idirnáisiúnta eile.

Is mian le TG4 an spotsholas a chur ar an nglúin chumasach óg, ar scáileán agus ar stáitse – agus chomh maith leis na ceoltóirí óga úra ar stáitse, feicimid beirt láithreoirí úra, Kayte O’Malley agus Cian Ó Maonlaí, ag láithriú ar an scáileán don chéad uair. Mac é Cian leis an gceoltóir iomráiteach Liam Ó Maonlaí, agus is ceoltóir le dealramh é féin, mar phríomh-amhránaí leis an mbanna Big Love.
Is craoltóir aitheanta raidió í Kayte O’Malley cheana féin. Cuireann an Ciarraíoch cumasach seo an ‘drivetime show’ i láthair ar Galway Bay FM. Roimhe sin bhí sí ina láithreoir ar chlár sainspéise ceoil Éireannach ar iRadio. Chaith Cian Cusack, céimí ó IT Phort Láirge, seal taobh thiar den cheamara ag an bhféile, agus is é siúd a rinne an eagarthóireacht go léir go snasta ar an sraith.

"Night & Day - Ó Dhubh go Dubh" is a five-part music series filmed at 2022’s inaugural Night & Day festival. The series features performances from Villagers, Mary Wallopers, Moxie, Orla Gartland and a host of other Irish and international acts.

With TG4 keen to shine the spotlight on breaking new talent, both on and off screen, hosts Kayte O’Malley and Cian Ó Maonlaí will make their presenting debut on the series. Son of renowned musician Liam Ó Maonlaí, Cian is a talented musician in his own right and lead singer with the band Big Love, while Kayte O’Malley is a multi-award-winning radio broadcaster. The Kerry native currently presents the drivetime show on Galway Bay FM, having recently moved from a specialist Irish music show on iRadio. Waterford IT graduate Cian Cusack, who also enjoyed a stint behind the camera at the festival, immaculately edited the series.
