Ceol Ar An Imeall

Villagers, The Temper Trap, Julian Casablancas, Grizzly Bear, The XX, Passion Pit, Delorentos, Marina and the Diamonds and Speech Debelle are just some of the acts to have featured to date on TG4’s dedicated indie music programme.

Ceol Ar An Imeall (Music At The Edge) by Red Shoe Productions is a ten-part music series on TG4 with a brilliant line-up of live guests and interviews to satisfy the most dedicated music fan. The programme is presented by journalist Una Mullally, who has been writing about music for the past decade, and has unrelenting enthusiasm for local and international sounds.

Exclusive interviews from some of the biggest names in indie music, as well as Irish and international music videos and live band performances feature in every episode. Alongside those elements is a brilliant live line-up of Irish bands covering the entire spectrum of Irish music today, from rock to pop, avant-garde electronica to disco, indie to some of the countries best singer-songwriters.

Both breaking and established acts have recorded sessions for Ceol Ar An Imeall, and this strong emphasis on home-grown music from acts including Villagers, O Emperor, Adrian Crowley, Heathers, Delorentos, Channel One and Bitches With Wolves shows just how vibrant the Irish music scene currently is.

With director Paschal Cassidy of Magic Night at the Lobby Bar behind the camera and Una Mullally in front of it, Ceol Ar An Imeall is a programme by music fans for music fans.
